ABOUT Dr. Stinson
Marilyn is a Licensed Psychologist. For over 30 years she has been in private practice in Arlington, Texas. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Texas Tech University and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Marilyn combines listening empathetically and teaching life-giving skills to help others develop life strategies and abilities that will allow them to live healthier lives and enjoy better relationships. She utilizes an eclectic approach when treating clients, combining concepts from various theories to help clients work through painful life experiences that are holding them back from a peaceful, full life. Marilyn respects clients' worldviews. She incorporates Christian principles if the client prefers but never binds her beliefs on others.
Marilyn has been married for over forty years, has three grown children, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys sharing what she has learned with others. In addition to creating art, Marilyn spends lots of time with family. She is passionate about life and walking alongside others as they work through life’s struggles.
